C. Acknowledgements

1. Acknowledge and ratify the June 2026 Community Center refunds.

2. Acknowledge the award of a Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to the Forrest County Fire Service in the amount of $39,564.32 for a cardiac monitor.

3. Acknowledge the submission of a Firehouse Grant Application on behalf of the Rawls Springs Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $35,9160. This grant application requests the amount of $35,916.00 for the purchase of (12) complete sets of turnout gear, as submitted by Katie Byrd, Grant Administrator.

4. Acknowledge and approve permission to remove the attached list of Inventory, as submitted by Deann Clay, Inventory Clerk.

5. Acknowledge and approve Permit Application for Use and Occupancy Agreement for the Construction or Adjustment of a Utility Within County Road Right-Of-Way for Rawls Springs Utility District.

6. Acknowledge and approve Permit Application for Use and Occupancy Agreement for the Construction or Adjustment of a Utility Within County Road Right-Of-Way for Spire Energy.

7. Acknowledge and approve Southern Health Partners, Amendment No. 5 to Health Services Agreement for the FCSO.

8. Acknowledge quote for a quarterly service to change out Heating and Air Conditioners filters from Filtermasters, Inc. as 248 filters @ $58 each for a total of $1,948.00 quarterly.

9. Acknowledge and authorize the upgrade with Owens Business Machines to replace the color copier/printer for the Prosecutors’ Office in the amount of $260.00 for a 48-Month Special State Rental Rate. State Contract No. 8200085486. Term is from 7/1/2026 to 6/30/2030.

10. Acknowledge and authorize the upgrade with Owens Business Machines to replace the color copier/printer for the 12th Circuit Court District Office in the amount of $260.00 for a 48-Month Special State Rental Rate. State Contract No. 8200085486. Term is from 7/1/2026 to 6/30/2030.

 

 

 

 

D. Travel

1. Authorize and approve Lakeisha Bryant-Hall, LaJuanda Walker-Mosby, Sandra Baylor, and Kimberly Crowell of FCSO to attend the Juvenile Justice Symposium at IP Casino & Resort Biloxi, MS on August 5-7,2026. The conference registration is $295 per person, totaling $1,180 payable to FTC Prevention Services, LLC. This will need to come out of the Juvenile Training Budget. Estimated cost of hotel stay is $439.68.

2. Authorize and approve David Ward and Allen Crocker to attend MASIT Risk Management Conference in Flowood, MS. cost of the training will be $325 person for a total of $650.00, payable to MAS Insurance Trust. The only costs associated with this training will be hotel and meals. Hotel estimated cost is $118 and will be charged to the County credit card.

 

 

E. Sponsorships/Advertisements

1. Consider the purchase of a sponsorship/advertisement to Play It Forward to advertise county resources as per Mississippi Code §17-3-1 and §17-3-3. Organized by Grits & Greens, a non-charitable organization, it is putting together a community outreach event to bring the community together to enjoy the region’s best music (bands). The money raised is used to help feed hungry Mississippians.

2. Consider the purchase of a sponsorship/advertisement to FCAHS Cheer advertise county resources as per Mississippi Code §17-3-1 and §17-3-3. The amount is $100 from Rec 5.

3. Consider the purchase of a sponsorship/advertisement to LADY EAGLE GOLF CLASIC advertise county resources as per Mississippi Code §17-3-1 and §17-3-3.

4. Consider the purchase of a sponsorship/advertisement to THE SCORE WFOR AM 1400 for Hattiesburg High School Football to advertise county resources as per Mississippi Code §17-3-1 and §17-3-3.

5. Consider the purchase of a sponsorship/advertisement to FTC Prevention Services, LLC to advertise county resources as per Mississippi Code §17-3-1 and §17-3-3.

 

 

F. Payables

1. Approve payment to Huntington National Bank in the total amount of $5,937.12 for the Supervisors, County Administrator, and Road Manager’s Credit Card Statements: Gentry Mordica ($510.72), Sharon Thompson ($1,532.30), Steve Stringer ($1,481.55), Roderick Woullard ($1,573.99), Terri Bell ($21.28), Jennifer Slade ($818.38), and Kyle Mims ($0.00).

2. Approve payment to purchase three (3) Dell Pro Rugged 14 amount $7,758.42, state contract and Night vision three (3) in the amount of $29,950.00 for the FCSO. This will be purchased through the Stone Garden Grant.

3. Approve request for a refund in the amount of $55.00 made payable to Veronica Jordan for a “Warrant of Removal” that was returned as “No Processed” and was never served by the Constable. (See attached)
